Etter at avtalen er i orden gikk intervju og slikt veldig fort på ambassaden. Det negative som tok ca 1 uke, eller 3-5 virkedager, var det å vente på at passene måtte bli sendt til dit man vil. Vi valgte Ocean World Marina og det kostet oss 12.5US og tok 7 dager totalt.

We strongly suggest for applicants to apply in their country of residency. But if you decide to apply the only way to obtain an appointment is by calling the U.S. at 1-877-804-5402 and your call will be charged to your credit card or by buying a pin in the Dominican Republic. Below are the steps to follow if you buy the pin here.
In order to pay the application fee and schedule the appointment the applicant or a messenger needs to go to any branch of Banco Popular in the Dominican Republic during its normal business hours with the passport, buy the fee of US $140.00 and purchase a PIN, of US$16 in order to call our Visa Information Center. When calling this line the applicant must explain the nature of the trip to the operator who will assist him/her with any questions he/she has regarding the visa application process, and will say the appointment dates available. The day of the appointment the applicant must present the Visa Application Form DS-160, available on our website www.embajadausa.gov.do, a recent photo and the receipt of the visa fee paid in Banco Popular.
U.S. immigration law states that every applicant for a non-immigrant visa is presumed to be an intending immigrant and must meet the burden of proof to overcome this presumption. If they are able to do so, they will receive the visa on the day of the interview. If not, they will nonetheless be given every due consideration and courtesy and will have the opportunity to reapply in the future should they choose to do so.
